This is my room junior year, 2042 Harper Hall. Its the first year I've been in a suite, and I definitely like it. We've got a TV, couches and futon out in the common area, and its tight having your own bathroom that room services cleans 3 times a week.
Here is proof positive that even the goddamn STATUES at Radford wish they went to Virginia Tech. HAHAHAHAHA!!! But then again, some Tech students do enjoy the simple comforts that our sister university has to offer.
Here are some pics from when Kathleen and Janeen came down to visit from Marymount one weekend in October. We went hiking the the Cascades, taking a few breaks along the way. There is a kickass waterfall at the end of the trail. Unfortunately to get to that spot we slipped, resulting in a pair of attractive wet backsides.
For all you facial hair fans out there, and I know you exist, I've had my goatee in some form since oh I guess junior year of high school, a few weeks here and there and Halloween this past fall aside. SO......Waynes World style.....EXTREME CLOSEUP!!!!!! WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Here is a shot of Sean, Boggs, Kristin and I outside of Seans house on Wertland St at UVA. I had a rough night the night before, so cut me a break if I look not so comfortable.
We've actually had quite a bit of snow so far this year. Heres a shot of me standing out on the drillfield taken at night. Boggs did some kind of night exposure shutter nonsense on his camera, so it came out all cool like it is.
I did the Chili Challenge this year, basically you eat a bowl of chili at Dietrick for a week every day for lunch, and it gets hotter every day. Here is a shot from the last day. Man, I have guts of steel these days.
Over Spring Break I just went home and basically didn't do anything other than substitute teach. Saturday though I went into DC w/ Kristin, Boggs and Tiffany, to see Kristin's grandmother and got this pic out in front of the White House, clear for the first time that day of liberal wacko anti-war protestors. Also on the way back to Tech, Boggs and I stopped off at a deserted JMU and snagged a little somethin' somethin' to remember the visit.
So there have been some late nights where there hasn't been anything to do other than try and get into mischief at Walmart. Here Jason and I try out their fancy smancy go karts. Here is me giving their outdoor playground equipment a once over (ONE FOR THE COMMANDANT...ONE FOR THE CORPS...). Surprisingly, their quasi-La-Z-Boys are really, really comfortable, as demonstrated there. Its also fun to play the approximately 69 deer hunting video games that Walmart has in their arcade. Then this one time, it took both Jenna and Kristin to upend me into a plastic trash can. And finally we discovered Captain Ron the star of the Walmart 5.88 DVD bin (NOTE : if you see that douchebag thats throwing a gang sign in the picture, punch him in the nuts for me, he called me Rain Man and I didn't find out what it meant until later).
Heres some pics from a trip out to the cascades with Jenna and Kristin
